Alassana Jatta and Matthew Dennis both scored their 12th league goals of the campaign to guide Notts County to a 2-1 win at Fleetwood.
Jatta put the promotion-chasing Magpies ahead seven minutes before the break with his fourth goal in as many games.
Will Davies gave Fleetwood hope midway through the second half, before Dennis wrapped up a fourth successive win for the in-form visitors.
Matthew Platt made a key block to keep out a Davies shot during an uneventful opening 20 minutes.
Jodi Jones failed to find the target with a first-time strike for County but Jatta put them ahead after turning home Jones’ cross from close range on 38 minutes.
Davies equalised with a good turn and finish from Mark Helm’s through-ball on 65 minutes.
But they were level for just five minutes after Dennis had a simple finish from Lee Ndlovu’s pass.
Jay Lynch made a brilliant save from a powerful Maziar Kouhyar strike on 73 minutes to keep Town in it but there was to be no way back.
