Manchester United could face competition from Arsenal as they prepare to battle it out for Leroy Sane next summer. The Daily Mirror reports the German star, who has played for Bayern Munich since 2020, has fallen down the pecking order in his homeland. The former Manchester City player is reportedly keen to stay in Germany, but his future is looking increasingly unclear.
Meanwhile, United are also poised to renew their interest in 22-year-old Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, the Daily Mail reports.
Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff could be looking to move elsewhere unless the Magpies make him feel “valued” with a new contract. The Sun reports the 27-year-old is “not sure” whether an extension to his current contract, which expires in the summer, has been triggered. It comes on the back of several of his team-mates, including Anthony Gordon, receiving new deals.
Wolverhampton boss Gary O’Neil could face the end if his side do not beat Southampton this weekend, according to the Daily Telegraph. Wolves are sitting at the bottom of the table and have not won in the Premier League since April. Club bosses are reportedly reluctant to dismiss O’Neil, who they regard as having a bright future in professional football.
