A man has been arrested after a stand-off on the grounds of a creche on Monday afternoon.
The man in question is alleged to have had a replica double barrel shotgun that was seized during the incident which is understood to have lasted almost five hours.

Gardaí were alerted around 7am on Monday morning of a man who was holed up on the grounds of the creche in the Flowerhill are of Navan town in county Meath.
It's alleged the man was also posting videos on social media that later began to circulate.
Gardaí rushed to the scene along with the Armed Response Unit and the Emergency Response Unit.
The man was subsequently apprehended at the back of the creche, which was empty at the time. No one was hurt during the incident and Gardaí say the matter was quickly resolved.
A spokesperson for the Gardaí said,

"Yesterday morning, Monday 27th October 2025, Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of an incident at a business property in Flowerhill, Navan, Co. Meath.
"The incident was subsequently resolved later that afternoon.
"Arising from the incident, an adult male has been arrested and is currently detained under provisions of Section 12 of the Mental Health Act, 2001.
"Investigations are ongoing."
