Gardai believe four of the bikes were stolen while a fifth is connected to an incident of dangerous driving and drug dealing
A number of motorbikes and scramblers have been seized by gardai as part of a major clampdown on criminal behaviour and antisocial behaviour in Dublin.
Confirming details of the operation, they say searches were conducted in the Dublin 9 and Dublin 11 areas over a number of days earlier this week.
"During these searches, gardaí from Ballymun garda station recovered five motorbikes and scramblers believed to have been stolen or used in criminal activity," said a spokesperson.
Gardai, who have released images of the bikes, say four of them are believed to have been stolen and that they are seeking to identify the owners.
These are a red Yamaha Tracer 900GT, a black Royal Enfield motorcycle, a Kawasaki Z500 and a blue Yamaha motorcycle.
A fifth vehicle, a scrambler, was also seized as part of an investigation into an incident of dangerous driving and the sale of illegal drugs.
