Homeowners and renters across Ireland may be missing out on a commonly overlooked €300 grant offered by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI).
The grant is aimed at reducing the cost of making sustainable improvements while supporting Ireland's push to meet environmental goals.
The €300 grant is available to all households across the country that meet specific eligibility requirements, such as having off-street parking at the property, and the installation must be carried out by an electrician registered with Safe Electric Ireland to qualify for reimbursement.
With electric vehicles (EVs) becoming increasingly popular, the EV Home Charger Grant aims to encourage the adoption of EVs and reduce the cost of installing charging infrastructure at home.
The scheme provides a grant up to the value of €300 towards the purchase and installation of a home charger unit and is open to homeowners to apply for a grant, whether they own an electric vehicle or not. This charge point can also be used for visitor use or at rented accommodation.
